| Jun Tian was born in Wuhan, China, in 1971. He received the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Rice University in 1996. From 1988 to 1991, he was studying mathematics at Beijing University. He is a principal engineer with Esx. Prior to that, he was with Harmonic Inc, FutureWei Technologies, Thomson Corporate Research, BrainMedia, Jacobs University, Digimarc, and Rice University. His
research interests are in the areas of audio/image/video compression/processing, computer vision, geometric analysis, machine learning, media security, medical imaging, immersive media,
and wavelet analysis. |
